New Notary Laws affecting all California Notaries

All California Notaries are required to employ these NEW LAWS
effective January 1, 2008!

New legislation has implemented very important revisions to the existing notary laws. These new laws need to be understood and followed by all new notaries, existing notaries and employers having notaries on staff.

Because the NEW LAWS are so extensive and important we are offering this opportunity for specialized training by making use of our ONLINE course. It's Your Responsibility to learn about these New Notary Laws that became effective as of January 1, 2008!

NEW LAWS we will be reviewing:
New wording for all Acknowledgment Certificates and Jurats you notarize
Now you are performing all Acknowledgments under penalty of perjury
New laws with four-year statue of limitations
Notary misconduct with fines up to $10,000 reviewed and explained
Power of Attorney notarizations and the journal thumbprint law
New laws affecting the surrender of your journal to a law enforcement officer
What laws now apply to fingerprinting with the DOJ and the FBI
New application requirements
New laws affecting name and address changes with possible fines of $500
New laws on how to identify document signers
New civil penalty laws of up to $2500 and how this applies to you the notary
These are some of the new laws, but there is much more!

The NLC "Learning the New California Laws Class" reviews the New Law requirements. This instruction is NOT in any way a substitute for the state approved 6 hour course of study.
